The Building
Very modern, two-bedroom ground-floor council flat in a three-storey, low-rise block. There are just 5 other flats in the block, and access is restricted to residents-only by a security door. There is excellent parking at the front and a large enclosed communal garden at the rear. Both car park and building are covered by CCTV and there is a twenty-four hour concierge. We have lived here 3 years and find our neighbours to be both mature and friendly; we have never been given cause to complain.
The Location
The flat is in easy commuting distance of Birmingham city centre, located just ten minutes’ walk from a train station (Stratford-Birmingham-Worcester line) and just two miles from Dudley and the Merry Hill shopping centre. Local shops within walking distance in Cradley Heath and Old Hill include a Tesco Extra superstore, post office, grocer, chemist, several newsagents, travel agent, hairdresser and electrical store. Three minutes’ walk away there is also a doctor’s surgery, police station, fire station and paramedic station.
The Flat
The flat has a lounge/dining room, large kitchen, two good-sized bedrooms, a bathroom with electric shower and a reception hall. It is gas central heated and double glazed.
Reason for moving
Work commitments compel us to move to East or South Birmingham but will also consider Oldbury, Rowley Regis or near there. We are relatively flexible with regard to new location, but wish to move to a two or three bedroom house.
